Beautiful Studio Apt in the Rockridge Area of Oakland, CA
This 350 square foot unit is in a 1920's building and still has some wonderful original details. It gets wonderful afternoon and evening sunlight.
This spacious studio has a proper entryway with hardwood floors and provides plenty of space for you to come in and set your stuff down. Upon entry there is a large walk-in closet for all of your clothing and storage needs.
To the right of the entryway is a bright and pleasant little kitchen with a marmoleum floor. There is a full sized fridge and a 5 burner gas stove with a standard oven. The kitchen sink is set beneath a nice window with a bamboo shade. The original built-in cabinetry is floor to ceiling. The cabinet right of the sink is a California cooler cabinet, which traditionally was used to keep fruits and vegetables cool. The wide cabinet has an abundance of storage room and is fully stocked with everything you need. There is also a tall top table with 2 stools. Placed against the wall it provides extra counter space during meal preparation. Turned to the side it easily accommodates room for 2 to dine.
The living area is left of the entryway, and also has hardwood floors. There is room for a queen sized bed and a seating area in the main living area. There is an electric wall heater which keeps the unit nice and warm, and we have also included a portable air purifier.
The bathroom has a 1920's hexagonal tile floor, a tub/shower combo with a new shower head, toilet, and a small sink. There are open shelves above the toilet which provide plenty of room for extra linens, and toiletries. There is an additional small medicine cabinet above the towel rack for closed storage.
The sun sets on the back side of the building and makes for very enjoyable afternoon/evening light which can be enjoyed on the shared back deck.
No laundry on-site but there is a laundromat 1 1/2 blocks away on Claremont Avenue.
The Rockridge area has a lot of local shops and restaurants. We are centrally located with easy access to highway 24, 580, and 880. Rockridge Bart is 4/10ths of a mile away, AC transit and Casual Carpool are right out front.
College Avenue is full of local shops and restaurants. We are walking distance to Trader Joe's, the Market Hall, and Safeway.
This building is quiet with kind and considerate occupants.

A Fully Furnished Studio in the Rockridge Area of Oakland, CA
This in-law unit is a quiet retreat with beautiful air purifying plants. With 288 square feet there is plenty of space for you to relax. The queen bed is set away from the side wall so there is room for you enter/exit the bed from either side. The love seat and coffee table provide an easy place to watch a show or movie. We have provided a large screen tv with a Roku for you to access your favorite streaming apps (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime). The kitchen table is easily converted from a small table for 2 into a larger workspace - great for laying out a project.
I am happy to provide complimentary tea and coffee for making a cup of whatever you desire. The kitchen is equipped with a Chemex coffee pot for a nice pour over brew, a toaster oven, a full size gas stove with an oven, a full size fridge and an instant hot water dispenser at the sink. There are also plenty of pots, pans, casserole dishes, and cooking utensils for your cooking pleasure.
The front patio area is for the exclusive use for the guest. There is one step up from the patio to the porch and one step from the porch to the unit. Upon request, we can provide ramps for wheelchair or walker access.
The entire unit is easily converted into a wheelchair accessible space. We will gladly work with you and your needs. The queen bed can also be moved closer to the wall to provide more space. In some cases we also remove the door to the bathroom and provide a bench so a guest can sit/slide over to the tub/shower and toilet. A handheld attachment has been installed in the shower. Please, inquire about other necessary adjustments to make your stay more comfortable.
